A wax seal of the last king of Hanover, sold by Delta 98 Den Haag

a wonderful research on a collection of wax seals 
started with this seal with two coats of arms:


 all seem to be related to families from 
Hanover, Saxony, Braunschweig, Altenburg and more


conjugal arms are those that show the separate shields 
of a husband and wife, side by side


the male arms – here at the viewer’s left – are of:

Main shield: quartered

- Field 1: in red three facing, striding lions / leopards, one above the other / Gules three lions passant, guardant in pale – for England

- Field 2: in gold, within a twin inner border / a double tressure, a lion rampant - for Scotland

- Field 3: in blue a harp / Azure a harp – for Ireland

- Field 4: (as 1) in red three facing, striding lions / leopards, one above the other / Gules three lions passant, guardant in pale – for England 

Central / heart shield / inescutcheon: with a bent tip split / divided in a goepel cut

- Field 1: in red two striding lions / leopards one above the other - for Brunswick / Braunschweig

- Field 2: in a golden field a lion rampant - for Lüneburg

- Field 3: in red a jumping horse, the Welfenroß or Sachsenroß / Guelfen pferd 

Here not visible: heart shield of Arch-Treasurer's Office, an imperial crown, so-called crown of Charlemagne.

- Field 1: the arms of the County of Altenburg, that became a possession of the Wettin family in 1328 - in silver / Argent, a heraldic rose of red / Gules, seeded gold / Or and barbed green / Vert

- Field 2: the arms of Eisenberg Estate, an area ruled by a different branch of the Wettin family, the Lords of Sachsen-Eisenberg, but still belonged to Sachsen-Gotha (- Altenburg), of silver / Argent with three blue / Azure bars

- Field 3: the arms of the County Orlamunde, that became a possession of the family in 1344 - of gold / Or with a lion rampant, surrounded by hearts / water-lily leaves

- Field 4: the arms of the Estate of Pleissen, originally a much larger territory of which the County of Altenburg was a part, it became in possession of the Wettin family in 1328 - in blue / Azure a lion rampant of gold / Or and silver / Argent

tenfold horizontally partitioned / Berry of ten, a field of black / Sable and gold / Or stripes, charged with a green / Vert stylized common rue / Crancelin in bend, for Sachsen / Saxony
