Familiewapens op lakstempels / zegelstempels,
soms bekend, soms onbekend.
Coat of arms on wax seal stamps,
sometimes known, sometimes unknown.
Collection: Delta 98 Den Haag, The Hague, The Netherlands

zaterdag

known: Van Nispen

This coat of arms was an easy one to find,

it belongs to the family Van Nispen

I can tell you about the provenance of this wax seal,
about the branche Van Nispen tot Sevenear and
a marriage with a lady Lonyay de Nagy Lonya,
I can tell you about her family in Abbazia or
his noble Dutch and her noble Hungarian origin,
but I am taking another way.
I will go to Uppland, Winterswijk and Upland

here above and under
Huis Seventer - Huis Sevenaer
where Van Nispen's have lived since 1785

Heraldry and lineage of the Van Nispen family:

see: http://www.familieverenigingvannispen.com

Now the different route.
I am born in Upland, California, US.
Our family went to The Netherlands, to the village Winterswijk.
Between 1905 and 1928 the mayor was
Jonkheer Gerard Albert van Nispen (1868-1949),
his father had a beautiful name:
Gneomar Adalbert van Nispen
The mayor lived in this house:
Villa De Helderkamp in Winterswijk,
now the Karel Doormanstraat.

He was very much involved in getting the dirt roads around Winterswijk paved.
Also the road from Winterswijk, through Woold, to Bocholt in Germany.
During the work there a huge stone was found: 12010kg

In 1915 it was placed on a pedestal in Woold,
on the crossing of Holdersweg, Langediek and Wooldseweg,
And known since as De Dikke Steen - The Fat Stone

Reserach was done about the origin of the stone.
According to the Heseman method in 1930
it came from the east of the middle Balticum, Scandinavia
According to the Rijks Geologische Dienst, Zandstra in 1983, it could by more specified as from Dalarna or ...... Uppland

You might understand that I,
coming from Upland,
prefer it comes from Uppland

the seal is sold by Delta 98 Den Haag, to the US.....
